Plasma Therapy

Blood plasma injections offer a potent solution for restoring the skin’s biological tissue. With over 20 years of use in beauty therapy and over 30 years in Swiss medicine, plasma therapy has proven successful in various medical and aesthetic applications, including aesthetic surgery, laser therapy, chronic ulcer treatment, sports medicine, and orthopedics. In Estonia, the utilization of regenerative platelets in beauty treatments remains a relatively recent development.

Human blood contains a wealth of beneficial substances, particularly thrombocytes, or blood platelets. Extracted from a patient’s own blood through centrifugation, these platelets are then injected into the subcutaneous microcirculation, where they work to restore and rejuvenate the skin. Utilizing one’s own blood ensures a completely biological approach, distinguishing it from many other substances used in beauty injections.

Plasma therapy is recommended for addressing concerns such as:

  • sagging of the face and neck,
  • facial wrinkles,
  • mouth wrinkles,
  • scars (including acne scars),
  • acne treatment.

Blood plasma injections deliver a restorative and rejuvenating effect to the treated area.

Benefits of plasma therapy include::

  • accelerated recovery post-surgery,
  • reduced postoperative swelling,
  • diminished facial and decolletage wrinkles,
  • improved overall complexion,
  • enhanced lip volume,
  • harmonized and lightened dark circles under the eyes,
  • stimulated hair growth,
  • improved appearance of scars and stretch marks.

However, certain contraindications must be considered, including:

  • autoimmune diseases,
  • oncological issues,
  • depression,
  • diabetes,
  • allergies,
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding,
  • people under 16 years of age.

To optimize results and ensure safety avoid antibiotics and painkillers for two weeks prior to the procedure, as they can inhibit platelet activity. Refrain from undergoing the procedure during menstruation due to potential discomfort. Abstain from blood thinners and alcohol consumption. Expect mild skin irritation post-injection, avoid planning events requiring makeup on the same day. Refrain from sunbathing for several weeks before and after the procedure to prevent complications.
