Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Test – QbTest / Diva test

ADHD Testing and Diagnosis at City Health Clinic

At City Health Clinic, we offer the opportunity to assess symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults.
Our diagnostic process is based on evidence-based methods and consists of several stages to ensure an accurate and comprehensive evaluation.

QbTest – Objective Test for Assessing ADHD Symptoms

QbTest is a computer-based test that measures the three main symptoms of ADHD: inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.
The test results are compared to a normative group and presented both graphically and as a report, helping both the patient and the specialist understand patterns of attention and activity.

QbTest can be repeated, allowing assessment of treatment effectiveness and the impact of medication on ADHD symptoms. It is often used to fine-tune medication dosage.

  • Test duration: up to 45 minutes
  • Age range: 6–60 years
  • Administered by: a nurse

QbTest is one of the tools used in ADHD diagnostics and should always be preceded or followed by a clinical interview for a more thorough assessment of symptoms.

DIVA Interview – Adult ADHD Diagnosis

DIVA (Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults) is an internationally recognized, structured clinical interview based on DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
It helps assess how ADHD symptoms have manifested during childhood and adulthood, providing an in-depth overview of an individual’s attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity patterns.

  • Conducted by: a trained specialist
  • Duration: usually 90–120 minutes

The information obtained from the DIVA interview, combined with QbTest and other assessments, helps establish an accurate diagnosis and develop a suitable treatment plan.

Recommended Tests Before a Psychiatrist Appointment

Before meeting with a psychiatrist, it is recommended to complete basic laboratory tests to rule out physical causes that may lead to similar symptoms such as fatigue, difficulty concentrating, or irritability.
This ensures that the ADHD diagnosis is based on a comprehensive health assessment.

Recommended tests:

  • General tests: Complete blood count (hemogram), CRP, urine analysis
  • Vitamins and trace elements: Vitamin D, B12, folic acid, homocysteine, ferritin (with iron if necessary), magnesium, zinc
  • Metabolism: Glucose (fasting blood sugar), HbA1c
  • Hormones: Thyroid indicators (TSH, free T4)
  • Organ functions: Liver enzymes (ALT, AST, GGT), kidney indicators (creatinine, urea, and GFR if necessary), electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium)

These tests can be done at your family doctor’s office or at City Health Clinic.
Results can be sent to the psychiatrist before the appointment to ensure the most accurate and thorough evaluation.
