After successfully completing upper secondary school in Saaremaa in 2013, I moved to England, where I obtained a cum laude bachelor’s degree in management from the University College of Birmingham. After the four-year course I returned to Estonia, enrolled in the midwifery programme at Tallinn Health Care College and graduated cum laude in 2022.
I have also completed a continuing education course in immunisation and a course in military and disaster medicine.
Previously I worked at Ida-Tallinna Keskhaigla maternity counselling unit and completed clinical placements at Saaremaa Hospital in internal medicine, surgery and maternity/gynaecology; at ITK in neonatology, maternity and gynaecology; at LTKH in the maternity ward and the women’s clinic emergency unit; and at PERH in the sub-acute psychiatric ward.
I enjoy the fact that my work is never monotonous — you never quite know what the day will bring. Procedures may be routine, but patients are always different, and finding a common language with each of them is a rewarding challenge.
I am very interested in the collaborative work between patients and colleagues that leads to a holistic understanding of the patient and, ultimately, improved wellbeing.
Hobbies
I love spending time in nature — by the sea, walking and hiking in the forest. I greatly enjoy swimming, and in winter I practise cold-water swimming.
