I attended Kardla Basic School and Kardla Joint Upper Secondary School, graduating in 2013. During primary school, I also studied violin at Kardla Music School, graduating in 2008.
Immediately after upper secondary school, I enrolled at the University of Tartu Faculty of Medicine, graduating in 2019. That same year I also entered the dermatovenereology residency programme.
I participate annually in Estonian specialist society training events and European specialist society symposia, as well as various continuing education courses in dermatology in France, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Slovenia and Italy.
What interests me most is improving patients’ quality of life — ensuring that treatment adheres to best clinical practice, is achievable for the patient and agreed upon in collaboration with them.
The most important aspect of my work is approaching the patient as a whole person, not merely seeing the diagnosis. I believe it is important to communicate in a reassuring and informative way, without judgement. I consider it essential to develop professionally on an ongoing basis and to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life in order to stay motivated and find joy in the work.
