Over time, the skin's ability to retain moisture decreases and the skin may become drier, thinner and duller. Biorevitalisation is an injection method whose aim is to improve skin hydration and quality — not to change facial contours or add noticeable volume.
During the procedure, small amounts of a hyaluronic acid preparation specifically designed for biorevitalisation are introduced into the skin. The suitable product, treatment area and course are chosen at the consultation.
When might biorevitalisation be suitable?
- Dry, dehydrated skin
- A dull or tired-looking complexion
- Reduced skin elasticity and tone
- Fine surface lines
- Improving skin quality on the face, neck, décolleté or hands
- As part of a restorative treatment plan after intense sun exposure or a period of stress
How is the procedure performed?
The skin is cleansed and, if needed, a topical anaesthetic is used. The preparation is delivered into the superficial or middle layers of the skin as a series of small injections. Small bumps, redness, swelling or bruising may be visible at the injection sites for a few days.
After the procedure, follow the specialist's instructions and avoid excessive touching of the skin, heat, intense exercise and alcohol during the first days.
Results and treatment course
The skin may become better hydrated, more elastic and fresher-looking. The extent of the result depends on the condition of the skin, the preparation used and individual response.
We usually recommend 2–3 treatments at 3–4-week intervals. Maintenance treatment may be needed after 6–12 months.
Biorevitalisation or dermal filler?
Biorevitalisation focuses on skin quality and hydration. Dermal fillers are mostly intended to restore or shape volume and contour. At the consultation we assess which approach better matches your goals.
