Enzymatic and Chemical Peels

When the skin has become dull, uneven or congested, everyday home care may no longer be enough. A professional enzymatic or chemical peel helps remove keratinised surface cells, supports skin renewal and leaves the complexion looking fresher and more even.

At City Tervisekliinik we always choose the type and strength of the peel according to the condition of your skin, its sensitivity and the desired result. We use professional IMAGE Skincare products and, where needed, combine the procedure with moisturising or soothing aftercare.

When might a peel be suitable?

  • Dull or tired-looking complexion
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Oily or congested skin and enlarged pores
  • Superficial pigmentation changes
  • Acne-prone skin and superficial post-acne changes
  • Fine surface lines

How is the procedure performed?

Before the procedure, the specialist assesses the condition of your skin and selects a suitable solution. An enzymatic peel is generally gentler and may also suit more sensitive skin. The effect of a chemical peel depends on the acid used, its concentration and the contact time.

The procedure usually takes 45–60 minutes. At the end, soothing and moisturising products are applied to the skin. Immediately after the procedure the skin may be slightly pink, more sensitive or feel tight. After some peels, light flaking may occur over the following days.

Results and treatment course

Your skin may look fresher and feel smoother after the very first treatment. For more persistent or multi-layered skin concerns we usually recommend a course of 3–5 treatments. The exact interval depends on the strength of the peel and how your skin responds.

After the procedure it is important to use sun protection and follow the home care recommendations given by the specialist.
